How holding tank service works
A holding tank has no drain field. Everything that goes in stays in until it is pumped, so the schedule is the whole system. We size the interval to the tank and the occupancy: a 1,000 gallon tank at a four-person camp in July is on a different clock than a job site trailer with a two-man crew. High-level alarms are installed where the tank doesn't have one, and the schedule is adjusted from what the alarm and the pump-out volumes show.
Scheduled vs on-call
Scheduled service means the truck shows up before the tank is full, on a recurring day, without a phone call. On-call service is for the alarm going off or a camp that is only used a few weekends a year. Both are available; scheduled is cheaper per visit and the one we recommend for any tank in regular use.
Industrial washout systems
Concrete washout, equipment wash bays and process tanks fill with solids as well as water. We pump and clean them fully rather than skimming, and dispose of the material properly. Manifests are provided for your records.
What York County customers say
Read all reviews on GoogleOur family has been using Nest and Sons, Inc. for over forty years. We had an emergency on Christmas Eve, they showed up promptly, were courteous and professional even though we knew they had holiday plans. Thank you!
James DesrosiersGoogle reviewWhat a great experience!! My first interaction was with Kathy who answered my call right at 8 am when they opened. She was so very pleasant and professional over the phone. She assured me that someone could come out the same day.
Liz BrownGoogle reviewI was in a very emergency situation with a crushed septic pipe at a fully occupied multi unit. Taylor and his team took my call, reshuffled their day and were onsite within a couple hours, excavator and all!! They were respectful.
